Results from yesterday’s eye exam were stable and they will continue to follow up weekly. The doctors wanted to see how Parker would do with regular feeds (with fat) and slowly go up to 22cc. If she does okay they will discontinue her TPN and possibly even try full feeds at 25cc. They also extubated her today and placed her on the bubble CPAP. She lasted about 10 minutes before they needed to reinsert her breathing tube. We were very hopeful along with the staff that this time it would have stuck but she isn’t ready yet. She has come a long way and we are so proud of her.
