Parker’s First Helicopter Ride

In the morning the Doctors started Parker on Nitric Oxide therapy which works by relaxing the blood vessels in the lungs, allowing more oxygen to circulate throughout the body. The doctors met with Jon and expressed their concern as the Nitric Oxide did not work as planned. After consulting with UPMC Children's in Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh requested for her to be transferred via life flight for additional assessment and treatment. To create a stable condition for Parker, she would need to be weaned off of the oscillator and heavily sedated before the flight. Jon would call Amanda at work and she would come immediately to be at the bedside with Parker where they would plan their next steps.
