Amanda’s First Skin to Skin!

Amanda first skin to skin! An echo was performed that showed a moderate to large PDA (a persistent opening between the two main blood vessels leaving the heart). After consultation with UPMC Children's, Ibuprofen was recommended to aid in reducing the size of the PDA. We were able to continue to do skin to skin for the remainder of May.
